Stained Glass 1
Roberta Horton taught this class at Vermont Quilt Festival. She provided the background fabric and the many scraps also available for us to use. What an excellent teacher! She made us use fabrics we never would've thought we could use. For example, the orange/yellow flower and bud center is the wrong side of a Hawaiian print. And isn't it perfect?
My Favorite Garden
Flower gardens are a personal favorite, and this is no exception. It is from the book, Baltimore Bouquets by Mimi Dietrich. This quilt won a blue ribbon at the 1998 Vermont Quilt Festival.
Miniature Log Cabin
When I taught a paper-piecing class, I made this as a sample. It is hand quilted. I put it up on the wall and my husband said, "You are bored!" But it did win a blue ribbon at Quiltfest here in Newport.
