Lady Bug Quilt by Toni Mackay
January, 2003 - Every year when I visit my family in Wisconsin, we have a family quilting bee. This year I was pleased and surprised to see my sister-in-law Toni's latest finished project, The Lady Bug Quit. She used my Twinkle Stars pattern but in the alternate blocks, appliqued those adorable lady bugs. Notice the tiny lady bug in the upper left corner? It was the very first machine applique she had ever done! The photograph doesn't show it but her machine applique and machine quilting is expertly done. Wonderful job, Toni!
