Quilting. Thanks so much for sharing!

May, 2003 - Back last September, two of my grandsons had great fun making their first quilts. You can see them at Guest Gallery Page 21. Taylor, though, wanted nothing to do with quilting. That is, not until his older brother Bud said,"See, Taylor, this is how you drive the machine." Call it a machine and Taylor was hooked!
Arranging the quilt blocks
Like his brothers, Taylor picked out his own fabrics, designed his quilt in EQ5, and did all of his own sewing. He told me he'd have to come back to investigate all those other neat looking stitches on my sewing machine.
Tigers & Acorns by Taylor
The day after he finished his quilt, he brought it to school for a special presentation on pioneer life in America. He was so proud of his creation, he even showed it off to three different classrooms. Great job, Taylor!
Update! Bud, Taylor and Chandler all entered their quilts in the Barton Fair, our local county fair. All three were very pleased to receive blue ribbons!
