January, 2004 - Mary Rapp is one fast quilter! Within two weeks of posting the final step in my 2003 Block of the Month, the Wee Flower Patch, she emailed a photo of her completed quilt. Here's what Mary had to say about her lovely little quilt:

I'm a recent first-time grandmother from near Madison, Wisconsin, and belong to the Prairie Piecers Quilt Guild, along with the baby's other grandmother and aunt. (We brought her to a guild meeting jointly as our "show and tell" one night!) I've been sewing for many years, but have gotten into quilting fairly recently. I've already developed a good-sized stash, and delight in the fact that my mother lives across the street from one of the nicer quilt shops in the state. I searched for a pattern that would showcase our guild's challenge fabric for this year, which is the multi-colored floral sprigs on a beige background that is behind the appliqued flowers. We shared our challenge pieces tonight at our monthly meeting, and all my fellow quilters asked me to tell you how much they liked your pattern.

Mary plans to enter the hanging in her local quilt show in February. Looks like a blue ribbon to me! Thanks so much for sharing, Mary.
