Rainbow Quilt

Rainbow Quilt

This cheerful Rainbow Quilt comes from Robin Brown. Here's what Robin says about it, "This quilt was made by Dixie Wilson, Linda Plumb and Robin Brown (the mother of an autistic child). We made the quilt top in a 10 hour day of sewing, it was cut before the 10 hours of sewing and took another 2 hours for Dixie and Robin to hand tie it. Robin also made 7 matching 12 inch pillows in each color of the rainbow. The quilt was designed and donated by Robin Brown to The Autistic Children's Activity Program, Inc., 1999 Annual Auction. A non-profit organization in the Portland, Oregon area that provides a community based program for children with Autism during the summer months. It was sold to the highest bidder, price undisclosed.

Robin also went on to say that on April 8, 2000 there will be an Autism Awareness Quilt carried in Washington, DC during the "Hear their Silence" march.

What a wonderful cause! Thank you for sharing your talents to benefit those so in need.
