Winsome Wildflowers by Claudia Plett
August, 2002 - This beautiful quilt is a great example of a quilter "making do." Here's what Claudia Plett said about her quilt -
Last year a very nice lady by the name of Jeanne Prue provided a free block of the month project called "Winsome Wildflowers". To make a long story short, I only finished 9 of the blocks. So to make it quick, I went ahead and set them in a garden maze setting and added borders. It is absolutely gorgeous. This one goes nowhere except upstairs and on a bed. I've had several people--family and freinds--who have tried to talk me out of it. No way. This is mine to keep. The machine quilter used a very intricate butterfly and flower design with a butter yellow thread.
